Small business owners feared legal exposure. One wrong move could put their livelihood at risk. I shadowed Bambee's HR managers and partnered with their compliance expert to bottle their expertise into a self-service system.
The insight: some clients tried to soften a firing by calling it a layoff, not realizing the legal risk that created. I designed a three-layer triage (safety → compliance → emotion) that routed high-risk cases to human support while enabling routine terminations to happen confidently without waiting.
